For best results, we suggest that you place FD.EXE in a directory that is in your DOS PATH statement, since that will ensure you can run FastDir no matter what your current directory is. You should also make sure that your COMSPEC setting correctly points to the command processor on your system, typically COMMAND.COM. (FastDir will check for this setting, and it will tell you if it detects a problem.) FastDir will never, under any circumstances, modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS files.
